Our Mission

We hold a well-founded bias to data and the use of digital and algorithmic protocols to address two critical themes in the mining industry: trust and confidence and the axiom of doing more with less. Building trust and confidence starts with how we use data and our sources of data. We chose to use publicly available data from a multitude of sources. All our data comes from verified 3rd party sources such as government agencies, academic research, and trade publications. Our data and use of data is repeatable by others. We build confidence by sharing our data and when we can we field test or have others field test many of our statements and hypothesis. We are open and transparent.

Doing more with less is a prevalent business axiom, it means mining needs to make smaller ecological footprints, be efficient with the Earth’s resources and maximize capital allocation. We believe data and using digital tools support the industry axiom. Starting with data and a digital approach needs to be tablestakes in any project development plan. Data is not everything, it is not going to replace geologists, field testing or drilling. However, data is going to make all 3 of these activities better. It is going to help do more with less.

The industry has a long history with data points. As an example, the act of rock licking is a data point. The industry has a long history of promotion where data has been used to do more than it can. We are not promoters, and we are not rock lickers. We have a passion and curiosity for finding the story amongst the data.
